Cornerstone Getting City Bond For Buckhead MOB Project
Developers of a Buckhead MOB that will rise over a popular Chick-fil-A restaurant are getting financial help from the City of Atlanta. Cornerstone is getting more than $37M in tax-exempt bonds to help finance the construction of its 1895 Peachtree Road project that will include bottom-floor retail, medical office space and assisted living. The bonds specifically cover the assisted living units, and Cornerstone has vowed to offer 24 of the 118 units at 50% of the average income of residents around the project. As we reported here, Cornerstone recently filed permits to begin work on the 160k SF project that will include Chick-fil-A in its retail lineup.
