GID's Massive Mixed-Use Project Gets First Look
GID Development has quietly released first glimpses of what could be coming to Dunwoody.
GID posted renderings of its proposed High Street project, a 42-acre mixed-use development in the heart of Central Perimeter that could include 8M SF of mixed-use space, 400k SF of retail and restaurants, 1M SF of office, 3,000 residential units and 750 hotel rooms. This is the project that the Boston-based developer has had in the works since 2007 when it purchased the land that's bordered by Ashford-Dunwoody Road, Hammond Drive and I-285 next to the new State Farm campus. After numerous delays—economic meltdown, mainly—it appears GID is finally putting a little pepper behind the project with its own website. No word on when GID plans to break ground.
