Jamestown To Redevelop 3 Upper Westside Buildings Into 220K SF Of Office And Retail
The developer of Ponce City Market is looking to Atlanta's Upper Westside for its next revitalization.
Jamestown is planning to redevelop three older buildings off Collier Road into a project called Allied Studios. The 220K SF redevelopment is expected to include office, retail, restaurants and showroom space, Jamestown announced Tuesday.
Jamestown acquired the properties, 1401 and 1435 Hills Place and 1357 Collier Road, in 2019 for more than $22M combined, according to Fulton County Tax Commissioner records.
“This redevelopment is an outgrowth of the Westside’s popularity, which has propelled the submarket for the last 20 years,” Jamestown President Michael Phillips said in a press release. “Following the evolution of West Midtown, the Upper Westside neighborhood has begun to transform into an eclectic office, retail and entertainment node, and Allied Studios will further catalyze this progression.”
Allied Studios is set to be anchored by a 120K SF creative office building designed with “post-Covid features,” including touchless entries, private tenant patios, green space and direct suite access from the exterior, Jamestown wrote in the press release.
This is the latest new development that Jamestown is planning in Atlanta. The developer is slated to present plans to the Atlanta BeltLine Design Review Committee Wednesday to add 160 residential units atop an existing parking deck along North Avenue on its Ponce City Market site, the first wave of a planned expansion at the iconic Old Fourth Ward redevelopment.
