Raulet Expands Movie Studio Empire
The Hollywood boys are expanding their studio empire!
We heard from Raulet Property Partners' Tyler Edgarton (middle, with John and Paul Raulet), who tells us the firm just expanded its popular Mailing Avenue Stageworks studio with a land assemblage and even a new facility on the westside. The firm purchased 460 Inglewood Ave, a 54k SF building, as the second phase of its Stageworks facility along the southern portion of the Beltline. The move doubles the size of the facility, which has had only two weeks of downtime since being established in 2012, and where such movies as Last Vegas and the Divergent trilogy have been filmed.
In addition, Raulet has purchased 818 Joseph Lowery Blvd, a former 54k SF Archer Daniels Midland corn syrup storage facility (here) sitting on 6.5 acres near Puritan Mills, at what the firm now calls Westside Stageworks. Tyler says they've already booked the facility for an undisclosed television show (which other sources say is BET's Being Mary Jane).
Since jumping into this niche business, John has become Mr. Hollywood and a go-to broker for film companies seeking space in Atlanta. He's inked more than 50 leases for productions, encompassing some 3M SF, including aiding Screen Gems in its local studio search and ultimately securing the Lakewood Fairgrounds for a 250k SF, five-stage facility.
