Owners Of Goldkist Headquarters Buy Central Perimeter Apartments
The group that is attempting to redevelop the former Goldkist headquarters has purchased another Central Perimeter asset. This time, a multifamily property.
Marquis Investments purchased Woodgate Apartments for $20.7M from HandyTrac Systems, or $80,500 per unit, officials with Berkadia said. Woodgate Apartments is a 257-unit brick apartment complex at 3248 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road in Central Perimeter.
Berkadia Managing Directors Paul Vetter and Andrew Mays, Senior Director Judy MacManus and Director Matt White brokered the sale for Georgia-based HandyTrac Systems. Calls to Marquis Investments were not returned as of press time.
Marquis Investments is part of Atlanta-based Crown Holdings Group, a firm that is pushing plans to redevelop the former Goldkist headquarters building at 244 Perimeter Center and surrounding land into a mixed-use project with office, residential, retail and a hotel.
