Davos-Lite Expands in Buckhead
The company that puts on private mini Davos-like events has renewed and grown in Buckhead. World 50, a group founded by Atlanta-based business author and marketer Rick Smith, has expanded into more than 37k SF at Piedmont Center, buildings 5-8, owned by Granite Properties. The firm filed permits with the City of Atlanta for a space renovation in the building. Rick no longer is part of World 50 (having sold his interest in 2008); the firm was purchased by equity investment fund Chicago Growth Partners in 2010 from Equaterra. The firm puts together C-suite execs in invitation-only meetings to share insight and discuss challenges; past meetings have featured keynotes from Robert Redford, Condoleezza Rice and Henry Kissinger.
