Developers Looking To Refurbish 50-Plus-Year-Old Atlanta Office
Another older Atlanta office building is going for the cool factor.
Crestlight Capital and Lincoln Property Co. Southeast are teaming up to reposition 730 Peachtree into a magnet for tech and creative boutique and media firms called Circa 730, CoStar reports. The move comes a year after Crestlight purchased 730 Peachtree, which is home to Kabbage Inc.'s headquarters.
The partners are planning to renovate the 51-year-old, 11-story office building with a new curtain wall facade and an interactive Pixel display in the lobby and to convert 20K SF into spec suites catering to startups. The developers are also planning a third-floor “social hub” as well as bike lockers, according to the property's website.
The building itself is centered in the hub of Midtown's tech office revival near the Fox Theatre, a block away from Portman & Associates' Coda office tower and the coming Anthem Healthcare IT office tower.
This is Lincoln's second major renovation of 730 Midtown. It also underwent upgrades in 2000, according to CoStar, positioning it to attract technology companies.
