Comanche Buys Oasis, Texas
Comanche Acquisitions, led by RHS Interests Bob Schultz, bought out its partner and is now the full owner of Oasis, Texas. (Not to be confused with Mirage, Texas, which looks the same but probably doesn't exist.)
Bob tells us Oasis, Texas, is one of the most beautiful places in the Southern US: He fell in love with it when he went to UT. (Some people meet their sweetheart in college--Bob met his sweet land.) It took years to get the entitlements in place to launch the first wave of development--75k SF of restaurant, retail, and office space. He says now that his group owns the entire project, it has the flexibility to complete the original vision. That includes an immediate build out of the retail and office suites so theyre ready for occupancy (he says both sectors are doing really well in the area now).
Bob tells us next on the agenda is developing the remainder of the 20 acres with office, hotel, and/or condos. He calls the site one of the most famous pieces of real estate in one of the best markets in the country and says we can expect activity in the next 18 months. His group is already in discussions with several groups (local and national) for the existing restaurants and brewery that overlook Lake Travis. (This excludes the Oasis Restaurant, which is still owned by Beau Theriot.)
