Oden Hughes Breaks Ground in Austin

A 240-unit Class-A multifamily project in southwest Austin is now underway, called Landmark Conservancy. Oden Hughes co-founder Steve Oden says demand should be high for the property since stringent development rules in the area have made multifamily construction difficult. He tells us it's one of the most beautiful and desirable parts of town, and his firm went beyond water quality and environmental preservation requirements. That includes reserving 16 of the site's 22 acres for open space (hello epic games of capture the flag) and building a water retention system that will treat water from Landmark Conservancy and five adjacent properties. The community sits at the SEC of Old Bee Cave and Highway 71 and will open early 2015.
