Goldman Sachs, Kor Group To Develop Mixed-Use Project In Austin
Goldman Sachs teamed up with Kor Group to develop a 500k SF hotel and condominium project in Downtown Austin. The 33-story project will have 244 hotel rooms and 99 condos priced at $600k to $3M. Large penthouses will make you really pay for the view—they sell for upwards of $8M.
The property at West Second and Nueces streets will be named Proper Hotel & Residences. Construction will be completed in 2018. Something tells us the property will have no trouble finding residents considering it's adjacent to the new Google offices.
Trammell Crow is part developer of the hotel, which sits at the former Green Water Treatment Plant property. The 2M SF Green Water mixed-use development features Class-A office space, residential towers, retail and restaurants.
