New 90k SF Office Building Aims To Be Highest-Tech In Austin
A new Class-A office building is underway in Austin, promising stunning views of the Downtown skyline. Coming in at 90k SF, 801 Barton Springs should meet LEED Silver standards and is looking to lease 1,800 SF of first-floor space to a restaurant. General Commercial Properties’ latest project will be comprised of four and a half levels of parking and four stories of prime office.
“This Class-A building captures the best of Austin,” General Commercial Properties principal Joe Llamas said in a statement. “Its forward-thinking architecture, breathtaking views, unprecedented parking ratio, innovative technology package, and location in the cultural heart of Austin make 801 Barton Springs uniquely Austin.”
The building was designed to be the most technologically advanced in Austin, incorporating central core network technology that will allow remote access to control lights, temperatures and security. Rendered above, the building was crafted by Austin-based architecture firm Runa Workshop.
