Three Texas Streets in US' Top 15 Most Expensive
Although Texas did not crack JLL's top 10 most expensive streets in America ranking, three did make the top 15. Austin's Congress Avenue just barely missed the top list, coming in at the 11th-most pricey street in the country with rents above $48/SF. Dallas' McKinney Avenue is 14th at $43.81/SF, with Houston's Louisiana Street on its heels in 15th at $43.67/SF. JLL's report recognized Austin's huge office rent growth—14.4%—attributing it to limited construction and growing tenant demand. It's not alone; JLL says midsized, business-friendly markets across the country are rising in the ranks. (For example, Raleigh prices rose 23%, and Fort Lauderdale is up 20%.)
