What You Don't Know About Yvonne Heerema
Company & Title: Assessment Technologies VP
Pictured: The first one is her honeymoon almost four years ago in Bora Bora. The second one is a flash forward three years later—last year on their “babymoon” in St. John when she was seven months pregnant.
Significant Other Gig: 2015 CREW Austin president
Goals for CREW: She’s passionate about CREW Austin providing leadership, personal and professional development opportunities for its members. On her agenda: growing membership, quality programs and finding ways to give back to the members. This year, she has borrowed an idea from other CREW chapters and with the board’s approval will launch a wine raffle called The Grape Rewards of CREW. The proceeds will help send members to the CREW Network National Convention this fall in Seattle and will also provide donations to the CREW Network Foundation. The goal is to award up to 10 scholarships. She’s got tickets on sale on the crewaustin.com website and promises odds are 1 in 100.
Job in Another Life: Worked at Capitol Records in Hollywood
Last Movie Watched: Movies with a 9-month old? I wish! But I actually did see Gone Girl a few months ago on our first date night.
If she weren't in real estate, she'd: Be a sports reporter, sports agent or anything sports related. It would be a dream to work for my favorite sports team--the LA Angels--in some capacity.
Family Facts: Married with one daughter
Favorite Hobby: These days I don’t have any time for hobbies with a 9-month-old baby, my career and being CREW president, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. When I do have some free time I enjoy watching anything sports related, reading, fishing and camping.
Bucket List: I love to travel! I have been fortunate enough to travel all around the world. Thailand and Africa are next on my list. I would also love to see a baseball game in every Major League baseball stadium across the country. I’ve already been to 15 out of 30.
Phobia: My husband would say its any animal that can eat me, because I seem to be afraid of bears and mountain lions where we have camped. Good thing we live in Texas now and there are not a lot of bears and mountain lions.
