Burrito king Chipotle is coming to Canton, taking 3k SF at The Can Company, with Andy Segall (above with his dad and partner Mark) of the Segall Group representing the tenant. He tells us Chipotle liked the location's visibility and co-tenancy, saying "redevelopment and development is going to continue east of Fells Point, and Can Company is right in the middle of it." Andy says Baltimore's retail market will remain strong; his company's working with clients like Cracker Barrel, Red Robin, and TD Bank. |
At Bisnow's first annual Retail Summit in DC Tuesday, we snapped SierraUS' Andrew Finkelstein enjoying coffee with Bradley Buslik and Susanne Katz of H&R Retail. Originally from Chicago, Sierra came to Charm City in May and set up shop on Water Street with a staff of six brokers. They're actively working with clients like Starbucks, American Theatre Corp, and Darden Restaurants. Andrew has a few deals pending on the regional roll-out for XSport Fitness and tells us developers are excited about Sierra bringing young adult retailer Akira to town. He says they're tearing it up in Chicago and should give Urban Outfitters competition. |
