WHAT'S IN A MERGER
October 12, 2012
CohnReznick Baltimore co-managing partner Ira Weinstein (right, with colleagues Joyce Price and Rick Schaefer) tells us Reznick's merger with NY metro-based J.H. Cohn (the deal closed this week) means greater geographic reach for J.H. Cohn and practice group diversification for Reznick. CohnReznick now can use J.H. Cohn's manufacturing and distribution and its construction depth to go to market in the Mid-Atlantic. But the biggest new thing for CohnReznick's Baltimore office is the management consulting practice that comes with J.H. Cohn. Ira confessed to one frustration with the merger: CohnReznick will be HQ'd in NYC, home to the Yankees, current enemy to his beloved Orioles. Oh, and did we mention that Joe Torre is something of a spokesman for J.H. Cohn—and now for CohnReznick? |
