The Charlotte R. Bloomberg Children's Center is named in honor of Bloomberg's late mother. It has 205 rooms and 10 surgical suites for pediatric patients, plus family sleeping accommodations, kitchen and laundry facilities, and a playroom with a basketball court and TV studio, not to mention the Monet-inspired facade. NYC's Mayor Mike is a 1964 engineering grad of JHU and its largest donor, dating back to a $5 gift back in '65.
