Illinois Company Buys Towson Square

The circle has gobbled the square. Retail Properties of America has bought retail and entertainment property Towson Square for $40.5M from The Cordish Cos, the Baltimore Business Journal reports. The new downtown Towson development includes a 15-screen Cinemark theater, Bobby's Burger Palace and World of Beer. The Illinois company owns neighboring Towson Circle, anchored by Barnes & Noble and Trader Joe's. It expects to incorporate both properties into one development. [BBJ]
