Makers Hangout to Expand at City Garage
Manufacturing facility The Foundery will grow from 2k SF to 19k SF when it moves this month to City Garage, a former bus depot in Port Covington that Sagamore Ventures is turning into a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. Sagamore Ventures is the investment arm of Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank's Plank Industries. The Foundery will charge a monthly $150 membership fee to use its manufacturing equipment. City Garage's other tenants will include Tapologie, a maker of glass and metal products for the hospitality industry, personal chef service Nutreatious, and Under Armour Lighthouse, a research facility that the company will use to advance local sportswear production.
