KPMG To Move Baltimore Headquarters, Remain On Pratt Street
Accounting giant KPMG is moving its Baltimore headquarters east along Pratt Street.
The firm, one of the accounting world's Big Four, will pull up stakes at 1 East Pratt St. in the heart of Downtown Baltimore and take the 18th floor of 750 East Pratt St. on the edge of the Harbor East neighborhood, the Baltimore Business Journal reports.
Cushman & Wakefield, which represented landlord Whiting-Turner in the transaction, had previously listed the available space on the top floor of the 18-story building at 21K SF, but the specific terms of the lease were not disclosed. KPMG's footprint at 1 East Pratt was reportedly close to 37K SF.
Despite the apparently smaller footprint, representatives for KPMG told the BBJ that the company has expanded in Baltimore to 200 employees, up from 180 in 2015. The 340K SF office portion of the 378K SF tower at 750 East Pratt is anchored by law firm Venable, with Baltimore brunch staple Miss Shirley's serving as the ground-floor retail. It overlooks a canal sprouting out from the Inner Harbor.
