Birmingham Speculative Development Dawns For 2020
A new dawn is rising on the latest speculative Birmingham office block. That the scheme is called Paradise only adds to the sense of freshness and progress.
Hermes and its development manager Argent have begun site clearance and enabling works ahead of the construction of the new 280K SF office building at One Centenary Square, Birmingham. The 13-storey building designed by Birmingham-based Glenn Howells Architects will form the gateway to the 2M SF Paradise scheme.
The complex project means building over the tunnels of the A38 Queensway ring road.
Birmingham City Council granted planning permission for the building in March 2018.
“We are keen to now maintain momentum and move ahead with the second phase of Paradise,” Argent Regional Director Rob Groves said.
Basement construction will run to summer 2021, followed by the frame construction which should be completed by autumn/winter 2021. The contractor is Sir Robert McAlpine.
