ScoutSpace Closes Funding Round, Names Andrew Popler as Interim CRO
BISWIRE/Feb. 27, 2025 — ScoutSpace Technologies, Inc., a leading innovator in commercial real estate technology, announced today the successful closing of its first round of angel funding. The round was co-led by Greater Colorado Venture Fund (GCVF) and Andrew Popler, a seasoned executive and member of the Ark Angels investment and mentorship group in Chaffee County, Colorado. This funding will support the company’s growth over the next 12 to 18 months, including key hires in sales, marketing, artificial intelligence, and technology development.
“The Greater Colorado Venture Fund is excited to partner with John Harlan on ScoutSpace,” said Cory Finney of GCVF. “John’s experience building and leading teams and companies gives us confidence that he will be able to address this massive opportunity in the commercial real estate market.”
In addition to co-investing in the round, Andrew Popler will serve as Interim Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). He will play a critical role in building out the company's sales and marketing operations, focusing on establishing a scalable revenue model with a long-term plan to transition leadership to a full-time CRO.
Popler previously led sales and marketing for a global technology and service provider, retiring in 2022 after multiple successful private equity exits. His expertise in sales team development, go-to-market strategies, and business scaling has made him a sought-after advisor for both early-stage startups and established tech firms looking for high-growth strategies.
“We’ve seen several businesses pitch at Ark Angels, but John’s vision for ScoutSpace stood out immediately as a game-changer for the corporate real estate industry,” said Andrew Popler. “John is a proven entrepreneur, having successfully built and exited a previous company, and his vision for ScoutSpace is compelling. I’m excited to be working alongside him and investing in the company’s future.”
Jake Rishavy, a local entrepreneur, facilitator of Ark Angels, and head of the Chaffee County Economic Development Corporation (EDC), commented:
“John’s pitch resonated with our group because of his deep industry knowledge and the clear market need for ScoutSpace’s technology. We look forward to seeing ScoutSpace drive innovation in commercial real estate. ScoutSpace is yet another example of a great, scalable tech company originating from Colorado’s amazing mountain communities.”
