Atlantic Wharf: Getting There
May 10, 2010
Boston's first Green skyscraper, Atlantic Wharf, is starting to look like part of the skyline, and developer Boston Properties says it will be ready for initial occupancy in February. Last week, the construction crew installed windows and poured concrete on levels 3 and 4 in the underground garage. It hit 90% on installation of mechanicals in the penthouse; that's a ?big deal? says Atlantic Wharf construction manager Ben Lavery. |
In the 10-story Tower Court, the crew is installing the skylight purloins and framing the adjacent office lobby that will house nine high speed elevators. On floors 9 plus 14 to 31, Boston Properties is building out tenant space, installing office walls and painting. For the ground floor retail, it's recently hired a broker and commenced marketing for retail and restaurant tenants. |
