Boston, by the Numbers
Boston's been making the rounds on quite a few rankings and surveys recently. We came in No. 13 on the EPA's sixth annual list of the 25 US metropolitan areas with the most Energy Star-certified buildings—that's 141 buildings totaling nearly 39M SF saving more than $50M in energy costs annually. We've also earned a respectable spot (No. 21) on the A.T. Kearney Global Cities Index, although down six spots from last year (jumping ahead of us in 2014 are Beijing, Toronto, Madrid, Moscow, Shanghai, Berlin, and Buenos Aires). Last, but not least, we're one of the least nerdiest states in the nation (which frankly surprised us), coming at No. 44 in the nation for folks interested in the likes of Star Trek, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and Dungeons & Dragons, according to Estately.
