Cambridge Scores with Genzyme
March 20, 2012
For those biting their nails over the Vertex move from Cambridge to the Boston Seaport, not to worry. Genzyme has renewed its 82,490 SF lease at 55 Cambridge Parkway, its broker Cassidy Turley FHO announced Monday. The biotech company that develops and manufactures medical therapies for rare ailments like Gaucher?s Disease will stay in this building on the Charles. In the '90s, Genzyme (which was recently acquired by Sanofi) was a pioneer in establishing Cambridge as a global life science cluster. Over the years, Genzyme has continued to expand in the metro area, including newly expanded production plants on the Boston side of the river and in Framingham. Cassidy?s Mike Brown repped Genzyme and Lincoln Property's John Miller repped the landlord, Invesco. |
