Forest City In Talks For Big Lab Tenant
July 24, 2012
A major Cambridge life science company is a potential suitor for Forest City's new 250k SF lab building, adjacent to its University Park complex in Central Square, says COO Peter Calkins. On Monday, the city council is slated to make the final decision on zoning changes on a site that will be owned by Forest City and MIT. Peter hopes that two years of construction will start next spring on the building designed by Jacobs/Kling Stubbins. But digging won’t start until there's been substantial pre-leasing. Certainly, the location is in demand: The park’s 1.4M SF in 10 lab and office buildings has been fully leased for years. | |
