Google Growing in Cambridge
March 1, 2012
On the theory that one can't get too much of a good thing (except coffee... we've been up for days), Google landlord Boston Properties wants to add 25k SF to the 275k SF the Internet entrepreneur already leases in Kendall Square adjacent to MIT. Monday, Boston Properties asked the Cambridge City Council for permission to build a 25k SF bridge linking space that Google leases at Four and Five Cambridge Center. To compensate for developing space that Boston Properties had promised to retain as a public park, it says it would build a 47k SF public park on public land at Binney Street and Galilee Way, a parcel owned by Cambridge Redevelopment Authority. |
