Advanced communications (fiber optics, aka the thing that let's you watch Netflix streaming), ranks just behind location, price, andparking according to 90% of the respondents to a Comcast Communications survey of almost 500 BOMA members releasedlast week (the survey, not the owners/property managers). For 2M SF-plus properties, the service ties with location for first priority. 61% say it gives their properties a competitive advantage. That jumps to 71% in the South. Managers of academic buildings take note: A third of your cohorts say they can charge higher lease rates. |
