Harvard Law School’s New Clothes
April 5, 2010
As the final concrete panels go up on the faade, Harvard Law School?s approximately $150M, Robert A.M. Stern-designed complex looks like it will be built on budget and meet its December 2011 completion date, HLS?s Francis McCrossan told the Crimsonrecently. The new complex—Wasserstein Hall, Caspersen Student Center, and the Clinical Wing, with underground parking for 695— not only gives the school a new face, it will change how it functions.Smaller classrooms will encourage dialogue, an expanded student center fosters communication, and the larger Clinical Wing will enhance the transformation of theory to practice. (Translation: Not the building where you want to experiment with law-breaking, even though it is college.) WCC is also going for LEED Gold. |
