JP Morgan Buying in Boston
March 21, 2011
One of the busier investors in the Hub lately is JP Morgan Asset Management's executive director Craig Theirl. He's bullish on Boston and has been making some of the larger deals to prove it. |
In February, his group closed on the $530M purchase ofLandmark Center in a JV with Samuels. The 950M SF property in a redeveloped Sears Roebuck building is predominantly office with a fair amount of retail. Craig says that a substantial amount of space is occupied by BCBS and users associated with the Longwood Medical Area, and he expects to attract more LMA tenants. In December, Craig?s group also purchased the Parklane Seaport, a 465-unit rental apartment building, for $193.8M. With an improving retail amenity base and easy commute into the Financial District and Back Bay, he's optimistic about prospects for the asset. To learn more firsthand, hear Craig, Wells Fargo Real Estate Capital Investments senior managing directorStephen St. Thomas, BlackRock managing director Shelton Getter, and many more speak at Bisnow?s Capital Markets event, March 31.
