Lift that Beam, Stretch that Back
September 16, 2010
At the Fogg Art Museum yesterday, where Skanska USA folks and their subcontractors are doing a major renovation and addition, safety is a top concern. As part of the builder?s sixth annual Safety Week (Sept. 13-19), Skanska is conducting daily morning workouts like the one at the museum, above. Doing bends, lunges, squats, and stretching hands and fingers can help prevent soft tissue injuries and help the crew stay in shape, a good way to prevent accidents. This week, at 10k Skanska worksites around the world, its 49k employees and thousands of subs, suppliers, customers, and business partners are stretching and flexing. |
