Wilmer Hale partner Kathy Bachman (recent winner of NEWiREs Leadership award) says women are still a minority in CRE but as her career illustrates, they can succeed. Her advice: Pursue what you like to think about. Be polite but be firm and remember, no guts no glory. 80% of success is showing up. Those to whom much is given, much is expected; when one door closes, another opens. Life is short so be swift to love and make haste to be kind.
