Neoscape at 15

| Here?s the view from the second floor of Neoscape?s Congress Street studio HQ, where last Thursday it celebrated 15 years in the real estate-focused marketing business and thanked the clients. The list is impressive: Boston Properties, Equity Office, Vornado, Hines, Related, JLL, Tishman Speyer, and Archstone. Some architects: Safdie Architetcs, Cesar Pelli, HOK, CBT, Elkus Manfredi, and Gensler. Using primarily Autodesk 3ds Max, Neoscape designers and filmmakers tell the story of various projects in 3D, film, print, on the web, and, more than ever, mobile apps for iPhones and iPads. |

| Firm founders Rod MacLeod, Nils Norgren, and Rob MacLeod accepting a toast. A company of three when they started, they now have a staff of 45. Their big break came about eight years ago when they produced a 3D film for the Big Dig. It helped the public visualize the project's monumental scope and Bryan says it gave Neoscape ?a lot of recognition.? Back in the day, they were about still 3D renderings; now, it's more a combination of 3D, film, experiential design, mobile, and interactive apps. For instance, a recent package for Equity Residential?s West End Apartments provides real-time leasing info with available units floor plans. |
