With the equity and debt folks busy lining up deals, this morning 275 attendees joined us for Bisnow?s Capital Market Summit at the Hyatt in Boston to learn what's hot, what's not, and who's deciding. |
The equity panel featured Blackrock?s Shelton Getter, Wells Fargo?s Steve St. Thomas, JP Morgan?s Craig Theirl, CBRE's Vic Bucchere, and Ackman-Ziff's Adam Steinberg. They want to get into deals at a low-cost basis to weather the next market cycles. Yet, they all seemed to agree that competition for deals has heated up dramatically in the past six months. On the debt side, John Hancock?s Tim Roseen, Eastern Bank?s Gary Leach, and CBRE multifamily group?s Kyle Draeger said activity in one case jumped 140% (compared to a year ago) and conduits could again become formidable opponents.
