Publisher’s Travelogue: Bright Lights
October 3, 2011
Visiting other cities for our events, we're seeing office buildings all lit up. Here?s 625 foot tall Miami Tower, designed by Pei Cobb in 1987. It's lit red, white, and blue for July 4; pink for Valentine?s Day; and adorned with giant snowflakes for holiday season. |
This is Boston's Paramount Theatre on Washington Street near the Commons, as taken by our camera last week. Emerson College recreated the 1932 building in recent years as a combination performing arts theatre and education facility. |
Last week we took this of Lincoln Center's brightly lit steps at 6:30 AM as we made our way to one of our New York events. The plaza was transformed in the last several years to make it more pedestrian-friendly and was dubbed the ?65th Street Project.? |
Of course, New York hardly needs extra illumination. We took this through a 50x90 foot glass wall overlooking Columbus Circle from the Allen Room (a jazz venue) at Time Warner Center. |
