RDK is Cooking with J&W
November 23, 2010
Meeting another basic human need—the training of future chefs at Johnson & Wales in Providence—RDK Engineers told us that it completed work on the school?s new $30M culinary arts building designed by Tsoi/Kobus. The 82k SF teaching facility on the university?s Harborside campus includes everything future Gordon Ramsey's need to master the art. That includes 20 kitchens, each specially equipped for a tasty task, such as making chocolate and pastry or brewing and sampling wine. There are also three dining rooms, several walk-in coolers, classrooms, and offices for faculty and administration. J&W is aiming for LEED Silver, with a helping of golden pork chops. |
