SPRING!
Even wary New Englanders believe it's now spring, after Nelson Black Cow kicked off the outdoor party season Thursday evening on the Splash rooftop in the Leather District.
SPRING!
We didn't bring a gift for our host, but snapping Brad Black with Claudia Dicesare, Peabody Office Furniture?s Danielle Ravens, and Workrite?s Anna DeMare seemed like a fair offer. After days of rain and floods, Brad said ?the weather gods were with us.? And escaping that cabin fever meant ?people really partied.? On Friday, Brad was unfazed and back at his desk to work on the fit-up for a new restaurant going into Boston Properties' 4 Cambridge Center and a sushi eatery, Sesame Z, soon to open at 801 Mass. Ave, Boston.

On a terrace overlooking the deck, we met with BC?s Richard Yaeger and Nelson Black Cow?s Stacy Chambers. As they socialized, Stacy stepped up her campaign to recruit Richard for Boston IFMA's education committee that helps facilities managers fulfill their credential requirements. Back at the office, Stacy just landed the fit up for Work ?n Gear?s new 17k SF HQ in Quincy. The uniform maker is leaving an office/industrial space for straight office. Drawings are due by month?s end. Then next week, she's pumped to start a 30k SF relo in PA. for Tyco; she'll be working with John Nelson, founder of the firm Black Cow merged with last summer.

Kimball Office's Gerard Donnelly and Jeff Shute and Tax Matters & Solutions? Susan Osborn. Nelson Black Cow has long worked with Kimball. It often specifies their furniture and displays some pieces in its Beach Street digs. Susan, a CPA, is also in IFMA, working on the task force that helps unemployed colleagues find new jobs. (We'll drink to that.) Stacy says everyone may soon have an opportunity for a few more toasts since Splash invited Nelson Black Cow back for another party in May.
