Development
Yesterday, the Boston Redevelopment Authority released an RFP to develop two parcels comprised of six acres on the waterfront at the Marine Industrial Park. The Mayor encouraged applicants to ?think big? and hopes to get great ideas from companies involved in high-tech manufacturing, life sciences, R&D; seafood, general manufacturing, or aquiculture.
Leasing
Breuer & Co. leased 13,595 SF at 701 Edgewater Dr. in Wakefield to expand its software operations. Wyman Street Advisors? Chip Batchelder represented the landlord, Hobbs Brook Management and FHO?s Michael O?Leary was at the table for Breuer. The interior architect is Studio Troika and the contractor, Majestic Construction.

AmniSure International leased 9k SF at 24 School St. in Boston and will relocate from Cambridge. GVA Thompson Hennessey?s Ryan Weber and Colin Greenhalgh repped for the tenant and Cushman & Wakefield's Tim Bianchi was there for the landlord, Clarendon Group USA.

Recombinant Data Corp. leased 9k SF to renew and expand their space at Two Newton Place in Newton. Parsons Commercial Group's Marci Alvarado represented the tenants and the landlord, RMR West, repped itself.

Legacy Real Estate Ventures announced the three new leases with a total of 5.7k SF at 607 Pleasant St. in Attleboro brings the 12.5k SF retail/office building to 100% occupancy. Colliers Meredith & Grew's Jim Elcock, Dave Goodhue, Bill Lynch, and Tim O?Brien repped Legacy. The Colliers teams also repped for G.M. Abodeeley Insurance Agency. Hayes & Sherry?s Mick Hogan represented Commemorative Brands, and C&W?s J.P. Plunkett and Ned Havern represented South Bay Mental Health Center.

Lebed Asset Management subleased space from Cornell University at 6 Beacon St. in Boston relocating form 33 Mt. Auburn St. in Cambridge. GVA Thompson Hennessey?s Catherine Thompson and Colin Greenhalgh represented Lebed and NAI Hunneman?s David Cooney represented Cornell.
Construction
JSB Industries will buy and renovate an 86k SF building in Lawrence to bake and package its muffins, bagels, and cookies, and will also continue to operate out of its Chelsea facility. MassDevelopment issued a $6.5M bond that Danversbank purchased to finance the expansion that will create 300 or more permanent jobs.

The BRA has put out the call for bids on construction jobs including the $3M improvement of the Congress Street Bridge and tender?s house; and the $410k improvement and expansion of the Chinatown Gate/Mary Soo Hoo Park that will link it with the Greenway. Work includes installation of play/recreation areas, seating and lighting.

Ed Friedrichs has joined A/E consultants Zweig White as chairman. He's the former CEO of Gensler and helped build the firm from 20 to 2,400 professionals.

CresaPartners announced that Robert Shibuya joined as an advisory board member. He'll provide ideas on strategic market development, tenant advisory services and transaction-management best practices. Robert currently oversees acquisitions and asset management for the Western US for Emmes Asset Management. Earlier, he was COO-Americas for DTZ Holdings.

Jesse Flynn has joined Lincoln Property as a senior associate. He'll focus on the Cambridge office and lab markets. Prior to joining LPC, Jesse was a broker with Newmark Knight Frank's Cambridge team and Townsend Commercial Real Estate in San Francisco.
Assignments
RBJ has been hired by NPV/Direct Invest as exclusive leasing agent for the four-building, 425k SF Braintree Business Park, which has office, R&D, and warehouse space.
