This morning over 250 packed Baltimore's Hyatt Regency for our first-ever healthcare real estate summit there, hearing all-star panelists like University of Maryland Medical System's Mark Wasserman and Johns Hopkins Medical Management Corporation president Gill Wylie (above, with moderator Jim Kornick of NorthMarq). Hospital systems are spending less on CRE because transitioning to electronic records is expensive, panelists say, and Obamacare is making the future foggy. That's making medical practices focus on short-term leases.
