J. Calnan was recently awarded the construction management services for Emulex' consolidation and renovation of its HQ into 33k SF In Bolton. The fast track project includes upgrades to the finishes, office space and common areas, including a state-of-the-art gym and construction of new lab space. The project team includes Packard Design, WB Engineers, and Dowling Houy.
Leasing
Pfizer signed a 10-year lease for nearly 17k SF at BioMed Realty Trust?s Center for Life Science | Boston in the Longwood Medical Area to be near world-class life science research institutions, hospitals, and bio/pharma companies. Its neighbors include: Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Merck Research Laboratories Boston. This lease brings the 18-story, 700k SF lab and office building to 98% occupancy. Pfizer?s Jose Carlos Gutierrez-Ramos says this location will allow the company and its academic collaborators to interact seamlessly sharing facilities, equipment, laboratory space, and experiment execution to translate leading-edge science into medicines.
