Cushman & Wakefield Lands Eastdil Secured Power Brokers
Most of the news lately has been about brokers leaving Cushman & Wakefield, after its mega-merger with DTZ.
Teams have left to join ARA Newmark and even WeWork. But in Boston, the firm has just landed a major coup, as three members of Eastdil Secured's Boston office have left to join Cushman & Wakefield: Peter Joseph, Brian Barnett and Steffen Panzone.
Peter co-founded the Boston office of Eastdil Secured in 2007 and since then has been the lead on almost all of the company's sales in the region, the Boston Business Journal reports.
Last year, the trio brokered the $1.3B sale of 500 Boylston St and 222 Berkeley St in the Back Bay. The switch is a win for Cushman & Wakefield, which saw its capital markets team, led by Rob Griffin, leave for Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. [BBJ]
