Heading Home Raises $1.1M to End Homelessness
The commercial real estate community turned out stronger than ever to raise a record $1.1M for Heading Home, the nonprofit that aims to end homelessness in Massachusetts. The event co-chairs—Rockport Group’s Tom Gilbane and Morgan Stanley’s Devon Condron—last week at The Castle on Arlington Street.
About 1,000 real estate pros warmed up the cavernous hall talking about their deals, sipping cocktails and sampling tasty bites contributed by some of the city's top restaurants organized by Catalyst’s William Kovels and CBRE Grossman Real Estate Advisors’ Andrea De Simone. At the same time, they all focused on supporting the work of Heading Home to house the state’s 20,000 homeless people/5,000 families. The nonprofit also helps people turn around their lives by offering training for jobs, on financial literacy and help accessing higher education.
