Massport OKs $45M For Improvements At Logan
The Massachusetts Port Authority gave the green light to a partial project budget of $45M for improvements to Terminal B at Logan International Airport. Massport says the project is necessary because of the merger of American Airlines and US Airways, which will consolidate all AA gates from two different locations to gates formerly occupied by US Airways, the Boston Business Journal reports.
According to Massport, the improvements will include "the expansion and reorganization of ticketing counters and kiosks; gate modifications to better accommodate airline requirements; an improved baggage handling area; reconfigured concession locations and organization and passenger experience enhancements including improved aesthetics, specialty seating and wayfinding."
