Boston Children's Expansion Prep Gets Green Light From State
Boston Children’s Hospital has the go-ahead from the state to continue fundraising and site work ahead of a planned 445k SF expansion.
An opposition group, upset by the fact a memorial garden will be displaced by the construction, had asked the state Department of Public Health to put the kibosh on those efforts, but to no avail.
“The department has determined that Boston Children’s Hospital is not violating (state) statute or regulations,” according to a letter issued by the DPH and cited by the the Boston Business Journal. The DPH hasn't yet ruled on the expansion itself, only giving Children's permission to continue fundraising and prep work. [BBJ]
