Apartments Planned For Roslindale, Near Commuter Rail Station

Developers Sean Morrissey and Michael Forde have proposed a 21-unit residential property at 317 Belgrade Ave in Roslindale. The building would also include 5,980 SF of ground-floor retail and three levels of residential units, all near the Bellevue stop on the MBTA Commuter Rail Needham Line. Three units will be designated affordable, the Boston Business Journal reports.

The development "will hopefully be a gateway project for the Belgrade Avenue neighborhood,” noted documentation filed with the Boston Planning & Development Agency. The development would involve razing a one-story commercial building, formerly occupied by a dry cleaner and retail store. The Southie developers tapped Lucio Trabucco of Nunes Trabucco Architects to design the project; he also designed a 20-unit residential development at 400 Belgrade Ave. [BBJ]
