Boston Landing Lands Two Life Science Companies
It is no longer just about sports at Boston Landing.
NB Development Group, the development arm of the New Balance athletic company, announced Wednesday it signed a deal for two life science companies to move into 80 Guest St. Proteostasis Therapeutics and Swiss drug manufacturer Roche Diagnostics Operations will each move into 30K SF in the first half of 2018, Banker & Tradesman reports.
The 246K SF building is also home to the Boston Bruins’ Warrior Ice Arena practice facility. The deal means 80 Guest St. is now 40% leased.
“We are excited to continue the transformation of Boston Landing with the addition of both Roche Diagnostics and Proteostasis Therapeutics, as both are engaged in important and innovative discoveries centered around health and wellness,” NB Development Group Managing Director Jim Halliday said.
Boston Landing is also home to New Balance’s headquarters as well as Harvard Business School Publishing and WGBH. Along with 80 Guest St., NB Development is marketing 320K SF of build-to-suit office or lab space at 60 Guest St. The nearly 1.8M SF, 15-acre transit-oriented development will eventually include three laboratory/office buildings, a residential building, a hotel and a Boston Celtics' practice facility adjacent to the Bruins’ facility.
