LL Bean Plans First Urban Location Outside Of Maine, In Boston
Next month, outdoor retailer L.L. Bean plans to open its first urban location outside of its native state of Maine, though not as a conventional retail store. The retailer will open a kiosk in the Shops at Prudential Center in Boston in time for the holiday sales season.
The 150 SF kiosk will be built around a column and will feature the store's instantly recognizable Bean Boots, as well as outerwear and accessories that change with the seasons, reports the Boston Business Journal. The company already has three more conventional Boston-area stores in Burlington, Dedham and Mansfield. [BBJ]
