Tom Brady-Branded Gym Expected To Replace Upscale Back Bay BSC
The G.O.A.T is expected to add a Boylston Street storefront on top of his sixth Super Bowl win.
The Boston Sports Club-branded BSC Lab at 699 Boylston St. has offered boutique fitness classes since 2014, but the gym emailed members earlier this week to say it will close its doors March 1. The space won’t be devoid of fitness for long, as the BSC memo indicates TB12 Sports Therapy Center, co-owned by New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, will be moving in, the Boston Globe reports.
“The space will now be occupied by TB12 Sports Therapy Center, who may offer services that you find value in,” BSC Lab wrote in the member letter.
Brady and his business parter and trainer, Alex Guerrero, opened the existing TB12 Sports Therapy Center at Patriot Place outside Gillette Stadium in 2013. The two regularly train at the Foxborough gym alongside other Patriots players like Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, sometimes to the ire of Patriots coach Bill Belichick. The facility appeals to clients who want to follow a similar training regimen as Brady’s and tells them to “get informed, get moving, get better!”
A BSC employee told the Globe the BSC Lab closing is a result of three other BSC locations being nearby. While TB12 representatives declined to confirm they were moving in, they did tell the Globe they were looking for a second location.
