“CHARLOTTE BRIDGE HOME” AIDS VETS
March 6, 2012
Norcom Development prez Tommy Norman, in association with local sponsors that include Goodrich, Wells Fargo, and the Foundation for the Carolinas, has launched ?Charlotte Bridge Home.? It's a new non-profit intended to help military service people return to civilian life. Many vets find getting employment, medical assistance, housing, and support services a frustrating and bewildering task, says Tommy, a local CRE fixture and Vietnam vet who served in the Army?s Special Forces from 1966-71. Charlotte Bridge Home is intended to help make the transition a little easier. ?Many of these (veterans) are so young, they've been through so much, and you can only imagine what they're going up against now that they're home.?
