Snapped at the CREW Charlotte's November luncheon: 2013 CREW Charlotte prez Barbara Briccotto, NC Secretary of Commerce Sharon Decker, and CREW member Amanda Whittemore of Redline Design Group. Sharon, who's held her office since early this year, spoke at the event. Her office recently got a feather in its cap when Site Selection magazine ranked North Carolina second in its annual Top Business Climate survey for 2013, which considers tax rates, the amount of red tape, and a state's incentives in the rankings (and, we like to think, barbecue tastiness).
Snapped at a recent Young Real Estate Professionals networking event at Taco Mac: Randstad's Bert Balogam, and Ben Mitchell and Catherine Mitchell of Smith, Moore, Leatherwood. The event featured a discussion on career development with Bert and UNC Charlotte's Dustin Reed, who heads up the MS in Real Estate program. Bert regularly places commercial real estate pros in firms across Charlotte. Conditions aren't ideal for real estate job-seekers, but Charlotte's rebound has improved demand for real estate pros.
