Chuy's Picks Charlotte for Expansion
Chuys, an Austin-based Tex-Mex chain, entered the Charlotte market recently by signing a lease at the Village at SouthPark, a Simon Properties shopping center. Merrifield Patrick Vermillions Keely Simerville tells us that the recession didnt dint (not much, anyway) Charlottes attractiveness for aggressively growing restaurant chains. With the recovery, Charlotte is even more attractive for national and regional restaurant players, who like being in the largest metro in the Carolinas, as well as an NBA and NFL city, she says.
